Our Mold & Mildew Stain Remover is a sodium hypochlorite-based product which is extremely effective for killing and removing mold but is considered a harsh chemical. The goal is to only use this product ONE TIME. Once the mold is removed, rinse with water and use our Waterless Wash to neutralize the remover so it doesn't harm your stitching. Then apply the water-based Mold & Mildew Preventer to stop it from coming back!

The Complete Process to Treat and Prevent Mold & Mildew on Vinyl Boat Seats

STEP 1: Remove Mold & Mildew with Xanigo Marine's Mold & Mildew Stain Remover
Our mold & mildew stain remover is a very effective way to remove mold and mildew. Being a harsh chemical it should only be used once to remove the mold, then the preventer should be applied to prevent the mold from coming back. Liberally apply the Mold & Mildew Stain Remover to your seats. Let it sit for 60-90 seconds but do not let dry. Additional solution may need to be applied— keep it wet. Agitate in a circular motion with a brush to remove the mold from the pores. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

STEP 2: NEUTRALIZE THE REMOVER
After rinsing the remover off with fresh water, it's important to make sure any leftover remover is neutralized so it doesn't dry out your vinyl or impact your stitching. Spray the Waterless Wash onto your seats and wipe it in with a microfiber cloth to neutralize the chemicals in the remover.

With just one application, your boat will be protected against mold and mildew for up to 90 days. The preventer creates a covalent bond to the surface that it is applied to. You can apply this to almost any marine surface including: vinyl seats, life jackets, canvas, ropes, compartments, live-well, bilge, patio furniture and other areas of high moisture.
Spray the Mold & Mildew Preventer onto a clean a, dry surface and spread evenly with a microfiber cloth. Remember to spread, not wipe off.

Keep your boat clean between mold prevention applications without the use of harsh chemicals or wasting water. Spray the Waterless Wash onto your seats, let it sit for 15-20 seconds and wipe off with a microfiber cloth. Remove sunscreen (a major food source for mold) and leave a refreshing smell without impacting the protective layer created by the mold & mildew preventer.
